It's going to be a few more weeks until runners find out about a refund for the cancellation of the Twin Cities Marathon.
The marathon and its 10-mile companion race were called off early Sunday, hours before the scheduled start, because of concerns related to hot and humid conditions in the Metro.
Marathon organizer Twin Cities in Motion planned to announce refund information on Thursday, but instead posted on the organization's website that they are still working through through cancellation coverage with the group's insurer.
The post said the next update will come by or before Friday, October 20.
Twin Cities in Motion received criticism from some for taking until the last minute to make a decision on the races.
Officials with the group say they feel responsible for the health of everyone involved with the race, including volunteers staffing water stations and medical stops throughout the 26.2-mile course.
