A new petition to rename a stretch of Minnesota roads "Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway" has hit the internet.
The petition on change.org is asking for a stretch of Highway 5 from Eden Prairie to Chanhassen to honor the legendary Minnesota artist. The petition is hoping to have the 2-3 mile stretch from Highway 101 to Audubon, where Paisley Park is located, renamed.
Right now, the road is named "Augie Mueller Memorial Highway." That road goes from the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 5 for 50 miles down to Gaylord. The group is hoping to rename just 2-3 miles of that road.
As of publishing, the petition has received 1600 signatures.
