A Minnesota state representative injured in a snowmobile accident earlier this month says he's looking forward to his return to work at the capitol in St. Paul.
In a Facebook post, Republican Torrey Westrom said he broke three ribs in the crash on March 12th while riding the machine on Lake Ida, near Alexandria.
He was taken to Douglas County-Alomere hospital after the accident and said he received great care by staffers at the facility.
Westrom added that he's continuing his recovery and has been working remotely to monitor things in St. Paul, where he said his colleagues has stepped forward to present his bills.

According to records from the Douglas County sheriff's office, Westrom was a passenger on the snowmobile when the 13-year-old driver ran the machine into an ice chunk.
Officials in Westrom's officer say the driver is a family member who had received his Youth Snowmobile Safety certification.
Westrom became the first blind person to be elected to the Minnesota legislature in 1996.
He lost his eyesight in a car crash when he was 14 years old.
