A newly released investigative report details misconduct allegations against Former Metro Transit Police Chief Ernest Morales.
Morales resigned from the position in September of 2024 and in May of that same year, he was barred from policing after a misconduct review confirmed concerns about his conduct.
The report was prepared by an outside law firm, Nilan Johnson Lewis, and revealed that Chief Morales routinely discriminated against female staff, retaliated against subordinates, and violated department body camera policies.
The Metropolitan Council will now decide what legal or administrative steps they might take next.
