There has been an increase in the reward leading for information into the disappearance of a former Iowa TV news anchor and Minnesota native Jodi Huisentruit.
Private Eye Steve Ridge says he's doubling the reward to $50,000 in the case of Jodi Huisentruit, who went missing while on her way to work at a TV station in Mason City, Iowa back in 1995.
In a press release, Ridge says he's hoping the news will encourage others to come forward with tips and that "time is not on our side."
Huisentruit grew up in Long Prairie and graduated from St Cloud State.
The 27-year-old was reported missing after failing to show up for her early morning anchor shift at KIMT-TV. Police found signs of a struggle in her apartment parking lot including drag marks on the pavement, a bent car key, and items from her bag strewn all over.
After nearly three decades, there still have not been any answers as to what led to her disappearance. Huisentruit was declared legally dead in May 2001.
