Minneapolis health officials are stopping short of mask mandate.
What they are doing is urging residents to mask up as COVID cases and hospitalizations shot up over the last month.
Since mid March, the seven-day rolling average of cases in Minneapolis has increased a staggering 340 percent.
Minneapolis itself is now considered in the high transmission category.
The mask suggestion would include everybody, including those who are vaccinated and boosted.
If you do decide to wear a mask, health officials say to make sure it's a well-fitting, high-quality N95 or similar.
