The Anoka Police chief is sharing some new information in the search for a missing man.

40-year old Brandon Stott was last seen on April 8 at his workplace, 201 Tavern Beer Garden and Grill. He failed to show up for his shift two days later, which authorities say is out of character for him.

Anoka Police Chief Andy Youngquist is updating the public as to what has been done in the search thus far - and what they have found.

"We did do an emergency ping on his phone from the get-go, the day that he was reported," Youngquist explained. "And that ping to his cell phone came to two different locations. So, both were outside of our city and one was actually outside of our state."

Youngquist says the Anoka County Sheriff's department has searched several waterways in the city, with more scheduled in the coming days. Nothing was located during that initial search.

"They did a search with their water rescue boats on the Mississippi as well as the Rum River that are in our city," he said.

Anoka Police are still hoping anyone with information will come forward.

"If anybody knows where Brandon is, if anybody's talked to Brandon, let us know."

The Anoka Police Department Investigations Unit was given, as well as located, video footage that showed a subject believed to be Brandon walking back to and arriving in the area of his residence shortly after being last seen. They n ote that investigators are continuing to tirelessly work leads that they identify worthy of pursuing.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Anoka PD Emergency Communications Center at 763-427-1212.
