You're down to just one day mom and dad (or Santa).
The clock is winding down for last-minute holiday shoppers, who are still swarming the stores at the nation's largest shopping center. Many descended on the Mall of America in Bloomington for those deadline gifts.
Jules Hodney wrapped up her holiday shopping early, but she has experience with last minute shopping. She's worked in retail before.
"We had a thing that we would say to each other, especially if we had to work Christmas Eve or the day before Christmas Eve," Hodney explains. "It was all the husbands. The wives were already done."
Susan Mitchell needed to pick up a few hockey pucks to complete a homemade gift.
"I don't mind getting swept up. I like it," she says. "I like to be organized and have it done, but it's kind of fun since I only have a short list today, to watch and see and not be too stressed."
Julieann Vuchsbaum is among the hundreds still prowling the hallways of the Mall of America.
"We definitely came in with a game plan for sure, but there's still a few things that we don't necessarily have a game plan for, so a little stressed, but we're OK," Vuchsbaum says.
Juliann wanted to get her shopping done earlier than this, but things didn’t work out.
"Normally we're pretty good, but this year was pretty chaotic," she said. "We had a lot of personal things going on in our family, which a lot of great things that just kind of took up some time."
If you're one of those rushing to get it done at the last-minute, the Mall of America has you covered. They're open until 10:00 p.m. Monday and open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Other malls are also open Christmas Eve for late shopping. Southdale is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Ridgedale is open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Rosedale is also open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 12/24. Of course all of them, including the Mall of America, are closed Wednesday for Christmas Day.
