As 'mocktails' and other non-alcoholic beverages continue to gain popularity across the country, St. Paul is jumping on the trend with the opening of a new sober bar. Oxymoron not included.

Club Throw Down is hoping to fill the need those looking for a sober night life option and want to support women owned businesses.

Felicia Henderson runs a women's holistic heath practice and owns the new sober bar that she says is all about giving people a safe place to have fun.

"Most of my clients don't drink. I don't drink, but we like to have fun," she explains. "One of my clients came in and she was like, 'do you have any mocktails?' And I was like, what? So I looked more into it and I was like, huh, OK, and it kind of went from there."

Henderson says she hopes it can be a source of positivity for the community.

"Don't come to just see it. Come to experience it, have fun," says Henderson.

The bar will host live entertainment and karaoke every Friday and Saturday night.
