Heads up for those who use Metro Transit trains.
Starting at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night until Monday the 14th, buses will replace Blue Line trains between Franklin Ave. and Target Field, and Green Line trains between Stadium Village and Target Field Station.
Spokesperson Drew Kerr says they have a strategic plan to make sure people get where they need to go while also planning around major events.
"There's no way to do kind of work without having some impact," says Kerr. "But of course, we do plan around big events like Vikings games. It's no coincidence that this is an off week for the Vikings and U.S. Bank Stadium will be quiet on Sunday."
He says buses will be on a similar schedule to trains but with the changes riders should plan extra time for trips.
Kerr says its all a part of a larger plan to keep the rail lines safe and reliable.
"There's a variety of things happening," he explains. "We are going to be replacing some sections of worn track. We're going to be replacing some of the equipment that we use to move trains between tracks to control train movements. And then of course general maintenance and cleaning efforts."
