St. Anthony Police are investigating after a three-year old boy accidentally shot himself in the head Thursday night.
Police say a 911 call was placed around 6:40 p.m. from the Equinox Apartments on Silver Lane and that about 30 minutes later they were told a child had arrived at the hospital with a gun shot wound to the head.
Investigators spoke with two adults who were near the child when the shooting happened and learned the shooting happened inside a vehicle.
So far no charges have been filed.
The boy was reportedly in stable condition following surgery Thursday night.
St. Anthony Police say the investigation is continuing and anyone with more information has been asked to contact the department.
