The Minnesota State Fair is touting a bright future following this past weekend's board of managers meeting.
What the group also did was raise entrance ticket prices for the 2023 Great Minnesota Get-Together.
Regular gate admission for adults is now $18, kids ages 5-12 will pay $16 dollars to get in.
Pre-fair discount admission tickets go to $15 each on Feb. 1, and until then you can get them for $14.
All of those new prices are a dollar more than last year.
Out-going State Fair general manager Jerry Hammer says rising costs for fair production, public safety, facilities upkeep and other services are reasons for the admission ticket price increase.
One thing that's not changing: kids four and under get into the Minnesota State Fair for free.
The fair begins August 24th and runs through Labor Day, September 4th.
