Legendary uptown seafood staple Stella's Fish Cafe and Prestige Oyster Bar announced it is closing its doors.
Stella's announced they will close their doors on Saturday, November 26th. In a Facebook post, they said they were grateful for their 17 years of service.
"You’ve truly supported a dream that has surpassed all expectations. We want to express a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary team members who have served our mission with joy and love. We have enjoyed being part of the Minneapolis lifestyle and appreciate being labeled the gold standard of rooftop patios."
Stella's was widely considered one of the best seafood restaurants in Minneapolis. Their rooftop dining and party area gave incredible views of Minneapolis during the day and at night.
Stella's joins a long list of Uptown Minneapolis bars and restaurants to close. The Pourhouse, Freemont, Hammer and Sickle and most recently, Williams Uptown Pub and Peanut Bar.
