Minneapolis Police are investigating a deadly car crash on the northside involving a vehicle that was stolen early on Tuesday night.

The crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Washington and North 22nd Avenues. Officers believe the stolen vehicle, a Hyundai, struck a car driven by a victim identified as a male in his 40s who was taken to the hospital but later died.

An adult female, who was a passenger in the stolen car, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, the driver had already fled before officers arrived on the scene.

Police are continuing their investigation into what is now a hit-and-run. No arrests have been made, and no suspect has been identified.
