Investigators are still looking for suspects after a weekend fatal shooting near the University of Minnesota.

Students on the University of Minnesota campus that WCCO's Susie Jones talked to say they are still feeling shocked after that deadly shooting, a violent incident they say they were not told about by the University.

"So that kind of shocked me a lot because this is something that like, a student got shot, not like a non-student, and they didn't even tell us," said one student on campus.

Dane is a good friend of one of the victims.

"Didn't feel real then it still doesn't," he said. "Feels real now."

He believes the University needs to do more to make students feel safe.

"In a way it feels normal to see police cars, ambulances, EMS, but I feel like that shouldn't be the norm, especially up here with all these, all these students, these undergrads," Dane adds.

WCCO has reached out to the University for their comment about what is being done, and have not heard back.

Three people were shot, one fatally, following what was called a chaotic scene in the Dinkytown neighborhood near the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus on Halloween night.

Multiple agencies responded to the call, which came around 2:40 Saturday morning, after the bars had closed.
