Sun Country Airline flight attendants are angry. Employees picketed outside of MSP Airports Terminal 2 on Wednesday.
"We're working out of a 2014 contract which was, in its day in 2014, behind industry standards, says chief steward and negotiator Elaine Rishovv.
Teamsters Local 120 represents flight attendants who say they want their fair share.
"We're tired, we haven't gotten a raise," says one flight attendant.
They feel unappreciated.
"Our CEO keeps on saying we need to have a work life balance but he doesn't give it to the flight attendants," another flight attendant told WCCO Radio.
Negotiator Tanya DeVito says it's about time they receive equal pay.
"We're trying to get industry standard with our comparables," says DeVito. "Not Delta. Not American. But within our comparables."
The two sides have been negotiating since 2021. A tentative agreement was offered last year but was rejected by flight attendants.
Negotiations are currently in federal mediation with the two sides scheduled to meet again in February.
