A Sun Country Airlines flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to Mazatlan, Mexico was diverted to El Paso, Texas on Wednesday due to what that airline called a "security concern."
The flight with 156 passengers on landed in El Paso without incident and those passengers were provided overnight accommodations.
In a post on X the FBI wrote, "The investigation determined there was no threat to the safety of the passengers, flight crew, or airplane."
There are reports that the security concern and diversion was due to a written note.
Sun Country noted they would be working to get travelers to their destination as quickly and safely as possible.
