Charges have been filed in the death of an innocent bystander who was struck by a vehicle in a Downtown Minneapolis shootout two weeks ago.
18-year old Autumn Merrick was on a scooter on her way home from work when she was struck and killed in the North Loop neighborhood.
Prosecutors have charged 33-year-old Christopher Walker with two counts of second degree murder and weapons charges.
Attorneys allege he was driving the vehicle that killed Merrick. Walker could face up to 95 years in prison if convicted.

The other suspects involved in the shootout have not yet been charged.
Minneapolis police were called shortly after 11 p.m. on October 6th with a report that two cars were driving side by side and shooting at one another near Loring Park. Police say the vehicles traveled at a high rate of speed through downtown Minneapolis and crashed at the intersection of 5th Street and 6th Avenue in the North Loop near Target Field.
One of the cars struck Merrick who was riding on the sidewalk according to police.
