Terminal 1 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reopened to traffic late Wednesday afternoon after a temporary closure caused by a "suspicious item."
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) MSP Airport wrote, "MSP Airport Police have completed an investigation of a suspicious item in the north end of Terminal 1. The inbound roadway has reopened and all areas of ticketing and baggage claim levels are fully open. Thank you for your patience and cooperation."
No additional details were provided by MSP officials.
Traffic leading into the airport off of Highway 5 was detoured beginning at about 5:30. The road, along with all ticketing and baggage claim carousels were back open about 45 minutes later.
