The Minnesota Twins and South Dakota State University are preparing to host Drake University as Target Field transforms into a football field for this week’s matchup.

The college football match marks the third time Target Field has been modified for such an event.

Head groundskeeper Larry DiVito says they have just under two days to get the job done.

“We know roughly where our four corners are, but we just want to have that dialed in perfectly. Get that perfect rectangle,” DiVito said.

Saturday’s game will be SDSU’s final non-conference game of the season.

The last college football game played at Target Field was in 2019, drawing a crowd of over 34,000 fans.
