Their next two games may be in Stockholm, Sweden, but it'll kind of feel like home for the Wild.
The team is overseas for the NHL's Global Series, playing the Ottawa Senators Saturday and Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.
Making the trip even better is the group of 300-plus fans who joined their favorite hockey team.
"I'm quite sure that in our games, we will have the most fans," Wild CEO Matt Majka told Vineeta Sawkar on the WCCO Morning News. "They've been fantastic."
Majka said the Wild were able to obtain unused tickets from the other teams and give them to their fans for the games.
"Well, there are 300 fans on our formal trip, which is more than any of the other teams that are here with us," Majka said. "Our fans just kept signing up for this trip, many came on their own."
The Wild traveling party has been in Stockholm all this week.
"We've had some events with them, we had an open practice with them the other day," said Majka. "There's a lot of Minnesota Wild jerseys walking around Stockholm, which is really nice to see."
Also playing in the Global Series is the Detroit Red Wings, who lost to Ottawa 5-4 in overtime to begin the weekend of games.
Unlike last season, when the Global Series took place in Australia in September, all of the games over the four games in Stockholm count for the regular season.
