
It's been a violent weekend in the Twin Cities, with three reported homicides.
In Minneapolis, two are dead following separate shooting incidents in that happened within three hours of each other.
A gunshot victim was found at 9:50 p.m. Saturday near Cedar Avenue South, and police say there are reports of a vehicle leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.
It was 12:20 a.m. Sunday when police found a man in his 30's shot to death in the Lorning Park neighborhood.
"In both of these cases, we are unsure if they are related," said the MPD's Garrett Parten. "Do not believe that to be so at this time. We'll consider that as part of the investigation in both cases."
There are no arrests in either shooting.
This makes 38 reported homicides in Minneapolis this year.
Police are asking anyone who has information about these shootings to contact Crimestoppers.
In St. Paul, police have made an arrest in the death of a man whose body was found Friday night in a home in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood.
Officers were responding to a welfare check on the 700 block of east seventh street when the found a man in his 50's inside a home, dead of a gunshot wound.
Forensics services personnel determined that someone had shot the man.
A 49-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the shooting, and she remains in the Ramsey County jail.
Investigators believe the shooting was random.
This is the 18th homicide reported by Saint Paul police this year.
