Three men injured, one of them critically, after a shooting overnight in northeast Minneapolis.

Police say it happened around 12:30 near Hennepin and University Avenues.

Witnesses say they heard several rounds of gunfire and saw people running from the area. Officers arrived to find a man suffering life threatening gunshot wounds.

Shortly thereafter, two other men showed up at HCMC also with gunshot wounds that were not as serious.

So far, there's no information as to any suspects or the names of those shot.

It comes after one person was killed following a shooting early Sunday morning just north of Uptown Minneapolis.

Police say that shooting happened around 2:00 a.m. in the 2100 block of Lyndale Avenue south, not far from the Wedge Lyndale co-op grocery store.

The victim was pronounced dead at HCMC. A second shooting victim remains hospitalized at North Memorial in Robbinsdale and is expected to recover.
