
Two people who were in an apparent stolen car were killed Friday when the vehicle crashed in Maplewood during a law enforcement pursuit.
The person driving the car survived the crash and is still at large.
Officials with the Ramsey County sheriff's office say deputies first spotted the vehicle 3:40 p.m. Friday near the border between Maplewood and North St. Paul.
The car wound crashing into a yard not far from the original sighting, near Chamber Street and Larpenteur in Maplewood.
There were three others in the car, two are in custody and authorities are still looking for the driver.
Authorities say the driver is believed to have a "significant auto theft history."
Names of the two who were killed are not released.
According to the Ramsey County sheriff's department, the entire incident lasted about two minutes.
