Two dogs missing after burglary at a St. Paul daycare and boarding business

St. Paul Police and Animal Control are asking for the public's help locating the two missing animals

St. Paul Police are reporting a burglary at St. Paul Paws, a dog daycare, boarding and grooming business that has led to two missing dogs.

Early Thursday, officers were dispatched to take a burglary report on the 1900 block of University Avenue West which is the location of St. Paul Paws. When officers arrived, they were informed that the business had been broken into overnight and several of the dogs being boarded had been released.

In total there were fourteen dogs boarded. Of those fourteen, eight were found still in their kennels. Three of the remaining dogs were running around the business and secured, but three were missing.

As of 1:00 PM Thursday, the Saint Paul Police Department and St. Paul Animal Control have recovered one of the three missing dogs.

Efforts to locate the other two are continuing and police are asking for the public’s help. The two missing dogs are Cooper (Miniature Pinscher) and Gunny (a white German Shepherd).

An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. There are no suspects at this time.
