The city of Minneapolis is investigating if two employees attended the Washington DC rally Wednesday that devolved into an attack on the capitol after it received complaints.
A statement from the city read it takes complaints against employees “very seriously” and is cooperating with federal authorities. The city says it cannot reveal the identities of the people who were the subject of the complaints.
Minneapolis Police Department spokesman John Elder told the Minnesota Reformer that it does not have the staffing to “scour social media pages of our staff,” but added he was not aware of any officers or employees who were present.
Five people died as violence erupted at the capitol, including one police officer.
