There is no known motive for Monday's double homicide in north Minneapolis, which happened not long before an armed man was shot and killed by police in Brooklyn Center.
Police believe the man responsible for killing a 23-year-old man and 14-year-old boy is the same person who confronted officers in Brooklyn Park.
Authorities say the suspect fired at police first before officers returned fire.
The victims are reportedly cousins of the suspect and the home in the Camden neighborhood was where the suspect's grandmother and other children live.
Records show the suspect bailed out of jail earlier yesterday.
He was arrested February 15th for fleeing police and possessing a modified handgun.
O'Hara says the suspect had a criminal record and was known by the MPD, and was a threat to the public.
