
Police are investigating the scene of a deadly vehicle crash in northeast Minneapolis this morning and the result of a police chase has left two juveniles dead and three injured.
The incident began with the report of a carjacking of an SUV near 12th and Fremont around 6:30 last night.
Several hours later, around 2am, the vehicle was spotted in Robbinsdale near the intersection of Country Road 81 and Abbott Avenue North and a chase got underway, ending with the single-vehicle crash near Windom Park at the intersection of Lowry and Hayes Avenues.
Reports are that there were five people in the vehicle, all juveniles. One killed at the scene while the other died at the hospital. Substantial injuries were suffered by the three others. The vehicle was split in half upon impact.
No word on any ages or identifications of the the indivuduals injured or killed.
