Two western Wisconsin police officers were shot and killed Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop two hours east of the Twin Cities.
Officials say an officer from Chetek and another from Cameron made the stop around 3:30 p.m., and that gunfire was exchanged.
Both officers died at the scene.
According to a statement, a person who was involved in the shooting died after being taken to a hospital.
It's not known what led to the shooting. Names are not released.
