Bone-chilling temperatures over the next couple of days could spell trouble for your car.
"Make sure you have proper air pressure in your tires," said Thomas Westbrook, with D and D Auto in St. Louis Park.
He says for starters, you should check your tires. "Tires expand in warmer weather and contract in cold weather. So if you have bead seals around your rims, those are going to be leaking."

Westbrook said a lot of people have been coming in to fill their tires, and check other essential fluids. Batteries are also critical to keeping your car running during subzero temps.
"This cold weather is going to speed up the life of your battery," said Westbrook. "If it's 5 years old or older, it may not make it during this cold snap."
Westbrook said he is fully stocked with new batteries, but expects over the next couple of days he'll run out.
It's also a good time to get your window washer fluid filled up, and make sure you're oil is topped off.
"Cold weather puts a huge stress on cars," Westbrook tells WCCO’s Susie Jones.
He says it's also smart to make sure all your hoses are in good shape.
"If you had a leak in a hose that was seeping out, the cold weather will add stress, which could end up causing even more problems for your vehicle."
Westbrook said it's best to take care of it now before being stranded in the cold.
