The Vikings next opponent, the Atlanta Falcons, shut down their training facility this morning because of a positive COVID test. ESPN's Adam Schefter initially reported there were four positive cases, which the NFL is now saying is inaccurate, per Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune.
The Falcons also announced last night that they've entered into the NFL's intensive protocol.
Earlier this week, the Falcons placed a rookie defensive lineman on the Reserve/COVID list, but now there are at least three new positive cases.
Atlanta is still scheduled to play Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium at noon on Sunday, but if there are more positive cases the game could be in jeopardy as we've seen across the NFL already this season.
The league has had to shuffle games because of COVID-19 outbreaks within the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots organizations. The NFL has shown a history in postponing games with COVID positive teams to Monday and Tuesday nights.
The Falcons fired their coach and general manager after dropping their fifth straight game last weekend, following a loss to the Panthers.
