Waking up to snow on Halloween again, just not as bad as 1991

Welp, here we go again.

Many in the Twin Cities metro and southeastern Minnesota woke up Halloween morning with a flashback of the 1991 blizzard.

The snowfall began overnight, some parts of the metro getting two inches of the white stuff.

The worst of it had already moved eastward into Wisconsin before dawn Tuesday.

Because it's a wet, heavy snow, the winds aren't creating white out conditions.

Still, roadways are a bit hazardous, and officials with the Minnesota State Patrol say it's best to slow down and leave yourself plenty of time to get where you have to go.

The wind will make it feel like 20 degrees by Tuesday night, and we're going to stay like this until Thursday.

That's when temperatures will get back into the 40's, and stay that way through the week.
