Once again, WCCO Radio is proud to present special programming over the Christmas holiday with a very special addition in this, our 100th year on the air in the Twin Cities.
Our Christmas programs will kick off with the first airing of WCCO's Centennial Celebration which was held live on stage at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in October, and event with over 500 guests but with much more interest than that. Now, here's your chance to listen! It will also be re-aired Christmas night at 7:00 p.m.
Featuring our current staff looking back on 100 years of history, we were joined by former staff members like Dave Lee, Mike Lynch, Eric Eskola, Steve Murphy, Al Malmberg, Telly Mamayek, Tim Russell, Tommy Mischke, former Governor Tim Pawlenty, and many more. It's a show you won't want to miss.
We'll also continue the long tradition of airing the beloved "The Christmas Box" by Richard Paul Evans and narrated by Richard Thomas plus a three-hour special look at the holiday from CBS News.
In addition, we'll have plenty of music from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir to keep you in the Christmas spirit, along with many great Christmas stories and funny bits from the many decades of WCCO's history.
Merry Christmas from News Talk 830 WCCO!
