With the Jan. 6 hearing underway, more than a year and a half after protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol, where are the Minnesotans who were charged for their actions?

Eight Minnesotans have been charged in the Jan. 6 attack, Brian Mock of Minneapolis, Robert Westbury, Jonah Westbury, Isaac Westbury, and Aaron James of Lindstrom, Victoria White of Rochester, John Stotts of Bemidji, and Daniel Johnson of Austin.

White was seen on video when she joined a mob that was attempting to get inside the Capitol, according to authorities.

Robert Westbury and his sons, Jonah and Isaac, were with James and face charges for entering the capitol building. Additionally, Isaac Westbury and James face charges of assaulting an officer using a dangerous weapon.

Mock was caught on camera shoving two Capitol police officers, kicking one, and stealing a riot shield. He was turned in by informants after he bragged about the assaults online. He has pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers; obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; and acts of physical violence in any of the Capitol buildings, among other charges.

Stotts and Johnson also pled guilty to charges brought against them. Johnson signed a plea agreement in December admitting to climbing through a broken window and rushing law enforcement. Stotts was turned in because of his social media posts showing him at the Capitol.

Stotts was sentenced to probation, 60 days of home detention, and community service. Johnson was sentenced at the beginning of the month to 30 days in jail.
