On Thursday afternoon, many Twitter users noticed that the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter was circling over much of south Minneapolis.
According to Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder, MPD asked for assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol with their helicopter for an investigation. While Elder couldn't comment on the investigation, he said that there is no threat to the public.
