The search for a Wisconsin man who fell from a rock ledge at Interstate State Park into the St. Croix River in Taylors Falls is set to resume Wednesday.
In a press release, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office said they received several calls shortly after 6 p.m. about an 18-year-old man who, "lost his footing and fell off a cliff and ultimately landed in the waters of the St. Croix."
Multiple agencies assisted in the initial search before it was called off at nightfall.
Officials asked the public not to undertake their own search efforts.
"We ask that the general public not search on or near the water at this time. The flow rate of the river, along with debris typically seen in the spring, has made for dangerous search conditions."
