An employee at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis' North Loop was arrested and then fired over the weekend after allegedly filming women in the restroom.

That woman shared her story on Tiktok to more than 295,000 viewers to warn others about her encounter.

She says it happened last Saturday and while she was in the public bathroom at the popular north loop hotel. That's when she says a man's hand was sticking out under the stall door with a phone recording her.

Hotel management later confirmed the story saying one of their hotel maintenance employees was involved.

That person was taken into custody by police but not charged and has now been released.

The general manager of the Hewing told WCCO-TV the man was "immediately and permanently terminated" from the hotel, and adds the safety and well-being of guests, team members and community remains "our highest priority."
