Metro transit will begin making schedule adjustments starting this month as businesses begin implementing return-to-work plans in downtown Minneapolis.
Agency spokeswoman Laura Baenen says some schedule changes will be announced June 12.
"They're just slight. We'll have additional changes that will occur in August, and those will take into consideration the latest return-to-work plans that we are hearing about from the major, regional employers," said Baenen.
Baenen says the return to some normalcy even now has prompted Metro Transit to add additional light rail trips.
"When we anticipate higher ridership for special events, such as Minnesota Twins home games, and we are planning to provide limited express bus service to the Minnesota State Fair. We're developing those plans now," said Baenen.
Capacity limits on buses and trains have been lifted. Masks are still required under federal law.
