Following the passing of famed Minnesota Coach Bud Grant, many former athletes, media members, friends, and relatives have shared their memories of the Vikings legend and the impact he had.

While younger generations may remember Grant from his famous appearance during the coin flip at the 2016 NFC Wild Card Game when he only wore a polo shirt in subzero temps, Grant’s history in the state runs deep.

Grant passed away on Saturday at the age of 95 after living an extraordinary life that not only saw him become the longest-tenured coach for the Vikings but also a star athlete at the University of Minnesota, which earned him a spot on the Minneapolis Lakers.

Among those to share their love for Grant included former Viking Ahmad Rashad, famed Minnesota sports writer Patrick Reusse, Grant’s son Mike Grant, and more.
