Amazon is offering a special holiday deal this week, with big discounts on domestic flights for young adults.
The retail giant is teaming up with StudentUniverse for the second year in a row to offer a limited number of $25 flights to Prime members enrolled in the young adult plan.
The deal includes 5,000 plane tickets priced at $25 each -- with 1,000 tickets dropping each day, starting at 10 a.m. PST on December 9 through December 13.
The deal is available to eligible individuals between 18- and 24-years-old and aims to provide affordable travel during a costly time of year. According to a recent survey, 66% of Gen Z anticipated incurring debt during the holiday season, with one-third allocating their holiday spending to travel.
"The holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, make memories, and create traditions, and we're happy to help make flying more affordable for young adults who want to spend this important time with family and friends," Carmen Nestares, vice president of U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech at Amazon, said in a statement.
To take advantage of the offer, subscribers to Amazon's Prime for Young Adults plan, which costs $7.49 per month, need to verify their age or student status.
The deal is available for a one-way domestic ticket within the US, including Washington, DC, for travel between Dec. 9, 2024 and Jan. 14, 2025, while supplies last.
