If matching family holiday pajamas are on your Christmas list keep this in mind: Mallimoda Children’s Pajama Sets sold on Amazon have been recalled due to a burn hazard risk, potentially causing “serious injury or death.”

The recall affects pajama sets sold between May 2021 and October 2025 for approximately $31. The pajama set includes a long-sleeved, button-up shirt with a front pocket and matching pants in various colors and sizes.

"Cotton 100%" and care instructions are printed on the sewn-in side-seam label.

So, what to do if you bought these? Consumers who purchased the recalled pajama sets are advised to contact Mallimoda for a full refund by cutting the pajamas in half and emailing a photo of the cut items to mallimodarecall@hotmail.com with the subject line “Recall Proof.”

No injuries related to the recalled pajama sets have been reported so far, but if you're wondering how to ensure you don't buy problematic PJs, the CPSC has these guidelines in place to protect children from burns.

These rules require that manufacturers of children’s sleepwear test small pieces of the cloth by holding them near a flame. To sell safely, the material must "self-extinguish if a flame from a candle, match, lighter or a similar item causes it to catch fire."
