Costco members now have access to a new telemedicine service.
The retailer has partnered with health care marketplace Sesame to offer online health checkups for as low as $29.
"Quality, great value, and low price are what the Costco brand is known for," David Goldhill, Sesame’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. "When it comes to health care, Sesame also delivers high quality and great value – and a low price that will be appreciated by Costco Members when it comes to their own care."
Costco members in all 50 states can now schedule a variety of health checkups via the Costco Pharmacy homepage and receive Sesame's "best pricing" on a range of services.
Primary care appointments cost $29, while health checkups with a lab panel and a follow-up consultation will cost $72. Additionally, mental health appointments cost $79. Members also get 10% off all other Sesame services, including in-person appointments.
Sesame doesn't accept health insurance, making it ideal for Costco members who prefer to pay cash for their health care. By partnering with Sesame, Costco says it is providing members access to low-price healthcare services, virtually or in-person with a provider, all at an exclusive discount.
The Sesame marketplace is comprised of primary care doctors and nurse practitioners, more than 40 health specialties, labs and imaging centers, and is inclusive of both virtual and in-person care.
