As fighting continues in Ukraine both on the ground and the cyber world, the nation will now have access to Starlink satellites following a request of Elon Musk from Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Twitter.

Fedorov asked the billionaire for help with communication satellites in a tweet while his nation continues to fight off Russian forces.

“@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people!” Fedorov tweeted. “We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.”

Just 10 hours after the request for help, Musk responded to his tweet, sharing that the satellites had been relocated.

SpaceX has launched thousands of Starlink satellites into Earth’s orbit.

The satellites help boost broadband services around the globe and can carry large amounts of data rapidly to any point on Earth without the need for fiber-optic cables.

With Starlink now in place over Ukraine, the country will allow data links to areas in the nation that have lost internet access due to the Russian assault.
