Tens of thousands of country music fans caused a small earthquake on LSU’s campus during a sold-out Garth Brooks concert on Saturday night, according to a seismograph recording.
The seismograph was set up by an LSU professor, according to Cody Worsham, the chief brand officer for LSU Sports.
This is now the second time a small earthquake has been recorded in Tiger Stadium in the last 33 years. The seismic activity began when Garth Brooks started playing his song “Callin’ Baton Rouge.”
At 9:30 p.m., the seismograph shows that activity began when the superstar asked the more than 100,000 fans, “I have to ask you, baton rouge? Is it time?”
When the song began, the small earthquake was recorded on the seismograph located at nearby Nicholson Hall.
