PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for an individual who has been illegally dumping trash bags full of soiled adult diapers and urine pads around Greenwich Township, New Jersey.

Police say the bags were littered on the sides of roads in Greenwich and other nearby towns.

Authorities shared an image of the dumper’s car: a gray Nissan Altima with New Jersey tags.

Greenwich Police Sgt. Jason Ray said it’s not just a quality-of-life issue; it’s a health issue.

“There are appropriate ways to dispose of these things. As far as I know, they can be disposed of just in an ordinary trashcan,” he told NBC10.

The dumping isn’t contained to Greenwich. Officials at the nearby refinery in Paulsboro said they have found bags of diapers on their property, too. They set up surveillance cameras to try to catch the person in the act.

The police department also jokingly shared a veiled threat by quoting Liam Neeson’s famous line in the movie “Taken”: “We will look for you, we will find you, and we will fine you.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Greenwich Township Police Department.
