The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a number of Ku Klux Klan related flyers that were posted in a northwest Atlanta neighborhood over the weekend.
The group referred to themselves as the "Old Glory Knights of the Ku Klux Klan" on the flyers and clearly stated that people have "been warned."
"Recently, residents within our Zone 1 community discovered flyers that appear to be distributed by a group or organization who depict themselves as the 'Glory Knights of the Ku Klux Klan'," the Atlanta Police Department said in a news release.
"The flyer appears to contain insensitive messaging. APD is fully aware of this matter and currently investigating to determine if this act was an attempt to intimidate the community. This investigation remains active and on-going at this time."
APD provided links to pictures of the flyers, as they said "the Klan is back again and here to stay."
"You have been paid another social visit by the Old Glory Knights of the Ku Klux Klan we have a dark history here and because of you a bright future!," the flyer said.
"Race traitors, mixed breeds, communist, homosexuals and all other walks of Godless degeneracy, the Klan is back and here to stay, so you'd better make amends or stay away!!!"
The flyer also provided an email address of the Old Glory Knights at the bottom.
The Office of the Attorney General told WGCL-TV, a CBS affiliate station, that they learned about the flyers on Sunday and then requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to look into the incident.
