After Wednesday’s drawing came up empty once again, the Powerball jackpot has continued to grow north of $1 billion, now sitting at an estimated $1.23 billion for Saturday’s drawing.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 11, 38, 41, 62, 65 and Powerball 15.
Powerball shared that Saturday’s jackpot is estimated to be the game’s fourth-largest ever and the eighth-largest in United States lottery history.
If someone is able to beat the odds of 1 in 292.2 million, they have the choice of having the money paid out annually over 29 years or in one lump sum payment estimated to be $527.3 million before taxes.
The last winning ticket for the Powerball jackpot was sold on New Year’s Day when a Michigan player won the top prize of $842.2 million.
The drawing will take place on Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST.
