Powerball jackpot soars to $793M after no winner

Audacy News: Combat vet turns guns into garden tools

If your Halloween dream was to find out you won nearly a billion dollars whilst dressed at Elsa from "Frozen" or Indiana Jones, then your dream died this weekend. But still, we're saying there's a chance for another dream, as the Powerball jackpot wasn't won by anyone so the next draw is even higher.

The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $793 million, with a cash value of $339.9 million, marking it as the 10th largest in the game's history.

Quietly, the jackpot has been accumulating since it was last won in August 2026, following a streak of 34 consecutive draws without a winner.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are approximately one in 292 million, and if a winner chooses the cash option, they would receive approximately $258.3 million after federal taxes are deducted.

And somebody's going to win, eventually, right? Why not you?

The next drawing is scheduled for November 2, 2026.

And if you're feeling lucky know that additionally, other lottery games are also offering substantial jackpots, including Mega Millions at $482 million and Lotto America at $2.6 million.

And even if you don't win the big grand prize, there are dozens of others that pay out. In Mississippi alone, players have celebrated 12 significant Powerball wins totaling $1.7 million since July 1.

While headlines focus on the grand prize, every Powerball drawing also creates thousands of winners at other prize levels, from matching five numbers to four balls and the powerball.
