Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to have another incident where he froze on Wednesday while speaking to reporters in Covington, Kentucky.

McConnell froze for more than 30 seconds after a reporter asked him if he would run for re-election when his term is up.

The moment felt like deja vu as the top Republican senator froze during a press conference for 19 seconds on Capitol Hill in July before walking away and then returning to say he was fine.

As for the incident on Wednesday, McConnell froze before an aide approached him and asked, “Did you hear the question, senator?” McConnell remained unresponsive despite the aide asking him by his side.

The senator then began to respond again, but his aide had to repeat two questions being asked of him before he could respond, as he appeared to struggle to hear reporters.

After the two questions, he left.

WLWT5 shared a clip of the moment on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Before the question-and-answer session with the media, McConnell gave a speech that ran about 20 minutes.

McConnell’s office has not responded to requests for comment from multiple media outlets.
