Some Tostitos tortilla chips recalled by Frito-Lay

Frito-Lay has announced that it is recalling certain bags of its Tostitos tortilla chips after it was found they may have been contaminated with undeclared products.

The company shared the news of the recall in a press release that has been distributed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In it, the company announced that it was recalling its 13-ounce bags of the company’s Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips.

The product is safe to consume for those who don’t have dairy allergies or milk sensitivity, the company shared in a statement.

It also noted that no allergic reactions have been reported in connection to the products.

The recall affects less than 1,300 bags of the chips, and the full list of affected lot numbers is available on the FDA’s website.

The chips were sold in multiple stores in 13 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

They would have been on shelves as early as March 7, before being pulled around March 27, the recall shared.

No other Tostitos products are said to be affected by the recall.
